UK REPORT
Cornwall Coliseum, 10th December 1999
12 Months 11 Days Tour
Report By Angela
Webber
This was the second time
I was to see Gary in Concert the other time being 10th March 1998
in Plymouth, Devon. This time I was So Happy at the thought of
it all, gary playing the first concert of his new tour in my own
home town of St. Austell.
When me and my friend entered
the concert hall, I felt so great, and when we were lead to our
seats I'm sure most people heard my cheer of joy when I realised
I was 7 rows from the stage. Bliss! But then as I sat down on
my seat I tried to look ahead of me at the stage Horror struck.
Out of all the people in
the concert hall there to see Gary and out of all the seats in
the hall, I had the most tallest person in the whole room, slap
bang infront of ME! Not impressed! And not only was he the tallest
person in the hall, I'm sure he was the tallest person I had ever
seen in my life.
The lights dimmed and the
support act came on. Now I have been to a few concerts in my life
time and all the support acts have be dreadful, but this one I
have to say was Extremely good.
Well Done if you are reading
this!!! The audience had a good laugh though, being the first
night of the tour I Don't think she had tested her costume too
much and therefore she was constantly pulling her Boob tube back
up every 5 seconds and grabbing hold of it every time she moved
quick.
Then, here we go again, gary
Barlow enters the stage. And as per usual I went mad jumping and
screaming, and well making a general prat of myself.
The gig was great, the crowd
was rubbish (Sorry if any of you read this but you were!) they
continually sat down to almost every song he sang and applauded
and the end of each song. There was hardly any screaming, well
apart from me!
Gary introduced himself and
said that he had been in the town for the last few days and had
relaxed ready for the tour, and that we had all that he could
ever want sand, sea and well no sun but the people made up for
it!
About three songs into the
concert he silenced the crowd (which wasn't hard) and said that
he wasn't used to applauds any more but that he quite liked the
feeling although very strange!!
The concert was great Especially
the Take That Medley when he singled me out from the crowd as
I was singing very loudly and jumping around he just looked, laughed
and smiled. That was such a nice feeling. I just can't wait to
do it all again. I will be there!
