Astoria Club, London Myself, Kerrie from Carlisle, and Sarah from Ulverstone travelled down to London on Saturday, 28th June 1999 to see Gary at the Astoria Nightclub - may I add, this is a gay nightclub...would we get in? ......... well we did, and for everyone's information, we ain't gay!!! Anyway we all had a brilliant view. Gary came on stage at 1.55 am and did a 25 minute set which consisted of Stronger, Relight My Fire, Love Won't Wait, Open Road, Back for Good and then he ended with Strongeragain. During Relight Fire he wore little red horns which was well sweet! The audience consisted of about 20-30 fans mainly female), who were at the front of the stage with no security, so Gary could reach out and touch fans hands, then the rest of the crowd were mainly men to be honest. It was quite a different experience, usually you have screaming females on either side of you but now you have men who knew all the words! Mmmmmm. interesting! Gary gave his all and was absolutely amazing. The whole audience was behind him and it was an excellent evening. We left to try and see Gary leave, and here we met Claire and Tracey, fellow fans from London (Hello there ducks!). Gary left but got straight in the van which was because of security reasons I, think as everyone had the same idea as us. We were speaking to Chris Healy and he mentioned that Gary was going to be in Scotland on the following Monday, doing radio stations - so guess where I was going Monday?.......oh yes Scotland!
