 First Ever Event in Germany

The first German Dinner took
place at Hotel Am Zoo, Frankfurt. I Ingrid arrived with my family
(Andre her husband and Chris her little son), late in the afternoon
at the Hotel Am Zoo where I met up with Janin and Denise who had
arrived earlier in the day.
After a little check up and a tiny little
chat we went in to the "Living Bar Restaurant XXL". When we arrived
there they told me surprisingly that they hadn't reserved a table
for us that day but the day before! I wondered how that had happened
because I phoned them three times the week before. But it wasn't
a problem at all because the restaurant was quite empty at that
time and so they arranged to set up a table for 14 persons (as I'd
ordered).
Soon after we got to our seats, the first
guests arrived and it didn't take long before the whole table was
full of fans. We ordered our meals and drinks and we then had our
first competition.
As Chris was the youngest member of our
little group with his 6 month we looked for the oldest member, which
turned out to be Brigitte Altmayer. She came along with her daughter
Lisa and she was really happy to receive her prize - a GB FANS T-Shirt.
We all laughed when Lisa started to get hold of the T-Shirt but
Brigitte wanted it for her own.
During our meals everyone talked and talked,
and everyone had fun. Photos went around and the main topic of conversation
was of course Gary Barlow - the last tour, the new single and also
his engagement with Dawn Andrews.
After everyone had emptied the plates we
started the next competition. It was much harder than the first
one because the fans had to answer 15 questions about Gary. Surprisingly
no-one could answer them all right but some had 13 questions correctly
answered, and the winners were:-
First Prize: Again, Brigitte Altmayer -
a one year free membership at GB FANS.
Second Prize: Claudia Herber - Signed picture of Gary Third Prize:
Lisa Altmayer - a GB FANS T-Shirt - went on Lisa Altmayer. Fourth
Prize: Renate Lausmann and Britta Lorenz got a GB FANS Calendar.
Then we had a surprise for Lisa. We had
been told that the next day Lisa's 14th bithday, so we gave her
a present - a GB FANS birthday card and a GB FANS cushion. Lisa
was very surprised and couldn't believe it all.
We still sat a while together, some were
cuddling Chris who enjoyed being with so many nice girls and women
very much. We had some very nice chats.
As Chris had to go to bed and Janin and
Denise had to catch their trains early next morning we three co-ordinators
had unfortunately to leave at 11.00pm but a few fans stayed together
until early in the morning.
We had a wonderful night, thank you everyone
who attended! We are very much looking forward to planning our next
event - hopefully in October.
