Here is one half of the promo reporting team. Sanna unfortunately had to work today so it's just me (Trine) who has got any news to report. Sanna is green with envy, but hey some people have to make their money the hard way ... (Sanna is unfortunately one of them...) After a really depressing morning where everything had gone wrong all I needed was getting out of the wrong exit at the tube station!! However, as usual I found myself getting lost in an unknown part of London. Fortunately I had been so provident as to bring a 'London A to Z' guide. So after asking various, suspicious looking workers at a nearby construction site ,I was finally on the right way to the place where 'This Morning' (morning television on ITV) was to be recorded (I did go to the right place - thank you Helen (my personal guru)). Upon arrival I found a huge sign that said, 'This Morning' plus five or so fans with their cameras ready. How could I have missed that?? (I should consider getting a pair of glasses I think!). Anyway, the other fans could provide me with the information that I'd missed Gary arriving (how on Earth was I supposed to know he was on first???). Well, too bad, I thought while standing there trying to watch him on TV through the windows at the studio. I knew he was in there and I was determined to wait until he came back out! I could (sorta!) see him on the TV. He looked absolutely brilliant in a blue shirt - and Jan will be pleased to know that he shaved off his much discussed goatee. Now he's back to the stubble again!!! Wonder if the guy can make up his mind? Anyway, enough about Gary's beard (or lack of same). After having waited for a little while I was beginning to feel rather lonely as I usually have Sanna to chat to during those long minutes where one can do little less but stand and wait ... and wait ... and wait ... luckily for me Wendy showed up (Hello Wendy!!! *waving*) and we just stood there chatting about Gary for a while. We saw Gary's car being driven up and parked near to the studio entrance, and other 'stars' (some British TV people - don't ask me who!!) were constantly arriving/leaving. Finally after waiting for about 45 minutes this little lady came out to tell us, "Don't push! (how could we there were like 10 of us!) Don't come in! He's coming out to talk to you!" (as if we didn't know he would - what else would he do - I mean it is GARY after all!). And then *drum solo* out came Gary!! He was wearing a blue tracksuit?! Don't ask me how it looked I'd rather not comment on it!!!!! (pictures coming up over the weekend). Anyway, he was chatting away as usual while signing the compulsory autographs and he posed smilingly for pictures with fans, me included! (if Wendy wasn't shaking too much to hold the camera still I should have that picture up for you all to see soon!!). What can I say?! ... the guy's lovely! After what seemed like far from enough time Gary went back to his car. Wendy was trying to tell him to update his 'Gmail' (we all agree there, don't we?), but I think he must be getting old because he kept going, "What? What?" (either that or he didn't want to hear - which could be the case ... hehe). In the end he seemed to get what she was saying, or maybe forgot about making a joke of it, and said, "OK! Will do..." (I want to see that before I believe it!). He then got into the car and drove off ...
Nothing left for me to
do but try to find my way back to the tube station! That wasn't as easy
as you should think and I ended up walking so much I might as well have
gone on one of those 'London Walks'. (they're supposedly brilliant
- if you like walking that is!) However, as I absolutely detest
walking I wasn't too pleased, but then coming to think of
it, it was definitely worth it!!! Anything to see Gary, don't you
agree? hehe .... End of Report |
