GB FANS© is a group of fans
who decided it was about time that the Gary Barlow fans around the
World got together for a bit of fun and to make new friends.
Helen
and Jan Berrington, together with their friend Julia Wharton decided
to form GB FANS back in November 1997. Below
read more about them......

 Helen
is 18 years old (DOB 16/3/81) and lives in Liverpool. She
has been a fan of Gary's since 1992. Apart from her music
interests (she wants to be a singer) she is a budding Radio
Presenter and plans to learn the tricks of the trade with
Kirkby FM in her home town beginning courses in January 1998.
At the last count Helen
has 93 penpals (keeps growing) from around the world,
mostly Gary fans! She writes handwritten letters to each and
everyone of them.
Apart from Gary Barlow
(her first and true love), her music tastes vary a great
deal and include: Louise; Ant & Dec; Code Red; Let Loose;
Alibi; Universal; Benz, Breez; Ecos; Harry Connick Jr; David
Bowie; TLC; Madonna; Kavana; Deni Hines; Gloria Estafan; The
Beatles; The Monkees; Wham and not forgetting her first loves
(Never Forget) TAKE THAT!!!

 Jan is a Secretary/PA
and the 41 year old mum of Helen. She also has a son,
Andrew (15), and a husband, the long-suffering Alf!
A TAKE THAT fan since their first appearance on GOING LIVE
back in 1991, Jan kept raving on to Helen about this great
new band and eventually Helen took notice and fell in love
with Gary!!
Jan was originally
and still is a Jason fan, but since she started the GBIS Petition
with Helen and meeting Gary, she is now definitely a Gary
fan first and foremost. Forming GB FANS with Helen and Julia
has been a rewarding and challenging experience, using Jan's
pc and organisational skills to the full, she is looking forward
to meeting many new friends at GB FANS events.
Helen and Jan were the organisers
of the GBIS Petition, a Petition for all ex members of GARY
BARLOW INFORMATION SERVICE run by Fan Club Services in Manchester,
to enable FCS to release the details of their members list
to Gary's new Fan Club Ex members from all over the World
joined the Petition. Fan Club
Services finally handed over the database to the new Fan Club
in March 1998. As well as being Organisers, Helen and Jan
will be co-ordinating events for the North West area.

Julia is a 30 year old 'housewife'
and lives in London with yet another long suffering husband
Roy and their 5 year old son, Oliver and 3 year old daughter,
Kai. Apart from GB FANS Julia's spare time is taken up
with watching movies (The Matrix - the best!) reading
historical novels, and tracing her family tree.
Julia loves her work
with GB FANS so much because she feels she is really doing
some thing useful. She has
been on the internet since January of 1996, four years later
she is now responsible for a number of web sites on the
internet at the moment including; The Gary Barlow Website,
which has since merged with GB FANS.
Julia has formed
her own web designing company called 'Oliver
Web Designs'. She has now begun a Microsoft Certified
Site Developer course which she hopes will lead her to a full
time employment as a website designer.
Her son Oliver also
has a popular website which has attracted 200,000 visitors
since August 1997, 'Oliver's Teletubbie Website!'. Before the onset
of motherhood, Julia worked for the Metropolitan Police, answering
the emergency calls.
