held in Birmingham on 9 December 2000.
We have just updated the EVENTS SCHEDULES with new UK events. Our European

very soon.
We will keep this page regularly updated with progress on events, now that
we have more people working on the site!
Our next event takes place on Saturday, 20 May, when we will be meeting
up at The Metro Centre, Gateshead for an afternoon of 10 Pin Bowling. We
hope to see as many of you there as possible.
On 25 June we have a Dinner planned in London. If you are in the Capital
at that time, perhaps you would like to join us at Footlights Restaurant

We forgot about this Section! |
It has been some time since we updated this section, mainly because we had
forgotten about it!! Nevermind, we have now remembered and here we will bring
you updates on all events we are planning.
DECEMBER TOUR
1999
We have begun arrangements for all dinners
and parties to be held in December. Bigger plans are afoot for the Wembley
event because it is on a Sunday afternoon and we will be arranging an afternoon
of fun before going on to the concert. Full details will be available shortly
in the Schedules section.
Tour
Bus
Many fans are doing a number of concerts on
the tour and we thought it would be good to arrange our own "Tour Bus", which
could work out a lot cheaper than buying train and other coach company tickets.
If you are interested please contact us as soon as possible so that
we have an idea of numbers and can get a cost. The plan is to pick up in
Newcastle on the day of the Newcastle gig and travel up to Glasgow, stay
overnight in Glasgow and then the bus takes us to the Manchester, Birmingham,
Sheffield and finally Wembley. We will look to extending this to Brighton,
Bournemouth and Cardiff if enough fans want it.
There are reasonably priced hotels along the way, which we can enquire about
for you or you can make your own arrangements. If you are interested please
contact us at

- Convention News |
A good time was had by all!! A full report of the
escapades of the "Magnificent Seven" will be in the EVENT REPORTS Section
very soon. Despite the fact that the Convention was cancelled 12 of us still
wanted to meet up for a weekend away!
Unfortunately, 3 had to cancel
on the Friday due to the dreaded flu bug, then Helen and her friend Charlene
went down with it on Saturday . . . no go in them the young ones!! That left
7 of us to run riot in Liverpool . . . just wait till you see those
pictures!!

| 13 January 1999 -
ConventionNews |
We are sorry to have to announce
that due to unforseen circumstances we are having to cancel the planned
Convention weekend of 22-24 January 1999.
This has been brought about
by a number of reasons, not least of which is the current flu epidemic here
in the UK. However, the whole weekend has NOT been cancelled. We are still
holding a Dinner on the Saturday evening andcan offer overnight accommodation
at reasonable rates. A number offans have already expressed a wish tostill
come to Liverpool on 23January.
ThisConvention therefore ismerely
postponed to a later date,possibly October/November, when we plan a pre-Christmas
Party. More details of this will be available shortly. Meantime a full refund
will be sent to those fans unable to attend the Dinner on 23 January.
If you would like to join
us on this weekend away, please contact us at
gbfans@yahoo.com for further details.
We are really sorry for the
short notice, but we were holding on for as long as possible, we are really
disappointed but we do at least have all our Dinners to look forward to in
April. All prizes we have collected will be available for competitions and
raffles Dinners to be held during this coming year.
All monies raised from our
raffles here in the UK will be donated to THE NEWBORN APPEAL, an appeal for
the Special Babycare and Premature Baby Units here on Merseyside, which looks
after special babies from all over the UK. Full details of this appear will
be on the website shortly. |
